White People

Maybe it has something to do with with the fact that his mom was white but Senator Obama sure does loves white people and they love him back. Normally you'd have to go to the suburbs or Ikea to see this many white people in one place but Obama seems to bring them out of the woodwork at every rally, campaign event and polling booth.

They come out for Obama in record numbers for Obama even though most of them have probably never had a black friend or interact with many, if any, black folks on a daily basis. He makes them feel special and fuzzy and their support of him proves they're not racist. Obama is their cool black friend and since they can't get this close to Mos Def they make due with Obama. Obama lifts their spirits and makes them forget-if only for a few hours-that they are more privileged than people who look like Barack Obama.

Liking white people, if you're Obama, can be tricky because if you spend too much time with your white friends sometimes your black friends get a little jealous.
